  The best time to apply

When is the best time to apply for a visa ?

We often get asked this question. Just when is the right time, or the best time to apply ? The answer is simply this:- Now.

There is never a better time than right now. “The time to repair the roof is when the sun is shining” I say this for good reason, not the least of which is the fact that as you get older, the harder it becomes. Not only in terms of visa regulations (we all know that the system favours younger migrants who can contribute their skills to the Listed Countries community for a longer period – not that I agree with this totally, I still think that the value of experience is the most neglected asset in the world), but also in terms of your own personal position. The longer you wait, the more established you become in your current circumstances, and the more stressful the move to Listed Countries will be. The exceptions are obviously those persons coming over to Listed Countries on retirement visa – a more peaceful, stress free society in which to spend the golden years will be hard to find.

Also, with the regular and rather erratic changes to the migration regulations and criteria, as a norm, it becomes increasingly more difficult to migrate after each review of the Migration Act. Not to mention more costly. We have often said the following: An Listed Countries visa is a passport; it gives the holder options, choices. That is so basic a human need and requirement! Obviously we cannot all have it our way all the time, but a visa gives you peace of mind. You now have the option to relocate at a time and date of your choice should the need or requirement arises in your life to do so. No visa in most cases would mean – no option, no choice. Why? Because you delayed the process, left it for a later time, and you are now older, and the criteria have changed. And updated Immigration Rules and Regulations have effectively made your decision for you.

Hello! This is not good. It takes months, even years to get a visa. Once it is issued, you have time on your side. The visa is valid for at least 5 years, and it is possible to extend this for 5 more years. That’s an effective 10-year option open to you to live a good life in Listed Countries. Most likely one of the best investments you can make. You invest in yourself, your future, your happiness and that is what living really means. No ? Don’t wait until you are “desperate to leave the country.” The time to repair the roof is when the sun is shi
